Locked Shredding Containers and Consoles
Locked and Sized for Your Office, at No Charge
Security between pickups depends on where paper waits. Our shredding containers across the Carolinas range from an under-desk personal box to executive consoles that look at home in a lobby to Defender 65 and 95 gallon bins for records rooms. All of them lock, all of them meet HIPAA and FACTA requirements, and they are free with scheduled service. Call (704) 351-0949.

Shred Container FAQs
What offices ask when placing bins: which sizes exist, how many they need, what the containers cost, and whether the locks satisfy a compliance review.
Four options, sized by volume. The Personal Document Container at 17.5" x 13.5" x 12" sits under a desk or on a counter for low-volume users. The Executive Console comes standard at 36" x 21" x 16" or compact at 24" x 21" x 16" — a finished cabinet meant to be visible in a work area.
For heavier volume, the Defender 65 Gallon measures 43" x 24.5" x 27.5" and the Defender 95 Gallon measures 47" x 25" x 34". The 95 holds roughly eight to ten banker boxes, up to about 300 pounds, which makes it the usual choice for records rooms and purge staging.
Yes. Containers are provided at no cost with scheduled service — no rental line, no license fee, no fuel surcharge. You are paying for destruction, not for furniture, and we do not use container rental as a way to pad an invoice.
There is also no long-term contract on commercial routes. Delivery and placement are included, and if the bins turn out to be the wrong size after a few visits, we swap them. Offices that need to test the service first often book a one-time purge before placing containers at all.
Placement matters as much as count. A container needs to be closer than the trash can, or staff will use the trash can. Most offices end up with consoles at the copier, the front desk, and any shared work area, plus a Defender bin wherever files are staged in bulk.
Count and size then follow your pickup cycle. Weekly service needs less capacity on the floor than monthly service for the same volume. Start with our recommendation, and we will adjust after the first few visits based on how full the containers actually are. Call (704) 351-0949 to talk through your layout.
Every container we place meets HIPAA and FACTA requirements. Paper drops through a secured slot and cannot be retrieved without a key, which closes the gap regulators care about most: the days or weeks between when a document is discarded and when it is destroyed.
That interval is where an open recycling box fails a compliance review, no matter how secure the shredding itself is. Containers also make the habit easy to enforce, since staff have one obvious place for anything sensitive. Pair them with our on-site destruction and the whole chain of custody is documented end to end.
Watch Your Documents Destroyed, Then Take the Certificate
Our mobile trucks shred at your curb, and you are welcome to watch the whole load go through the viewing station. Every job at Records Reduction is handled under strict chain of custody by background-checked staff, and it ends with a Certificate of Destruction listing the date, the location, and what was destroyed. The shredded paper is then baled and recycled, all of it. Nothing gets stored, sorted, or hauled away intact.

“They pulled the truck right up to our building and we watched every box go in. Scheduling was easy, the price was exactly what we were quoted, and the certificate was in my inbox the same afternoon. This is how it should work.”— Verified Google Review
