Community Shred Events and Hosting

You provide the location and the promotion. A parking lot with room for a truck to pull in and a line of cars to queue without blocking traffic is all the space needed, which is why bank branches, church lots, and HOA clubhouses work so well.

We bring the truck, the equipment, and the staff to run it, including the crew who unload boxes from car trunks so attendees never have to lift anything. Everything is destroyed on the spot, in view of the people who brought it. Many hosts add a table with refreshments or their own literature — the event doubles as a community touchpoint.

Paper is the whole program. Staples, paper clips, and rubber bands are fine and do not need removing, but we cannot accept plastic binders, laminated documents, X-rays, or e-waste at a community event. Those materials need equipment the mobile setup does not carry to a public lot.

Worth saying in your promotion so nobody arrives with a computer tower in the back seat. Anyone who does have hard drives, X-ray film, or old electronics can handle those separately through our regular services, and we are happy to have a card at the table pointing them there. That is the host's call. Most events are free to the public, absorbed by the sponsoring business as a service to its customers or members. Others ask for a canned-good or cash donation at the truck and route it to a local charity, which tends to raise turnout rather than reduce it.

Hosting is quoted custom, since cost depends on the length of the event and the volume you expect. One scheduling note: a second reschedule carries a $199 fee, because the truck and crew are committed to your date. Ask for a quote and we will walk through the numbers before you commit to anything.
